Ricky Ross was born on May 3, 1960 in Troup, Texas. As a young child he moved to South-Central Los Angeles, California, with his mother. Originally interested in tennis, he pursued a scholarship while attending high school. His coach, Bob Strohosky, who also went into drug trafficking in his following days, would later find out he was illiterate and remove him from the school. Ross then attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College and again pursued tennis, reaching the 3rd spot on the team. To make money, he turned to selling drugs to pay for tennis lessons. However, an arrest led Ross to quit school.[5] [edit] Cocaine introduction It was through Jericho Deerr, a college friend, that Ross was introduced to cocaine. Through Deerr, Ross found a connection to purchase cheap Nicaraguan cocaine: two Nicaraguan exiles, Oscar Danilo Blandon and Norwin Meneses Cantarero. Ross began distributing the cocaine around US000 less per kilo than the average street price, his point of distribution being the Bloods and Crips street gangs. Eventually, Ross purchased his cocaine directly from Blandón and Meneses. By 1982, Ross had received his moniker of “Freeway Ricky,” and is believed to have been selling over US million in cocaine per day—and purchasing 440 kilos of cocaine a week.[5] In addition to cocaine, Ross was also able to purchase surveillance equipment, such as mini cameras and recording equipment. On February 2, 2011 Spencer Lisenby flew his own design the Kinetic 100 DP to 468mph setting a new world record at Norco California in winds gusting over 65mph. Here is a video compilation part of that flight. The radar gunner, Chris Bosley also flew the plane and his flight is included in the second half of the video. Unfortunately in the second portion of the flight the plane is more visible than the world record passes for three reasons. One the plane is flown less aggressively at a much slower rate, 405mph (borrowed plane ) two, the second pilot is wearing a helmet camera so the camera is naturally following the plane and nobody fly’s as well as Spencer. During the record passes the radar gunner was more concerned about getting the speed on radar and not thinking about filming the flight so there’s a bit of quick camera movement. Pop megastar Katy Perry broke onto the pop music scene when her breakout hit “I Kissed A Girl” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 9 weeks straight, and quickly proved she was no one-trick pony after hitting the Top 3 on the Hot 100 with her summer hit “Hot N Cold”. This past Thursday, the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid made its driving debut on a closed road in Monterey California, just days prior to its appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. After being shipped over from Germany by plane, engineers handed the keys of the new 918 Spyder Hybrid to Porsche AG Design Chief Michael Mauer. The car drove under its own power which comes from the mid mounted 3.4 liter V8 out of the RS Spyder as well as in all electric mode which powers just the front wheels.
